Four areas of research were investigated: chromospheric modelling; starspot modelling; supersonic transition locus (STL) crossing; and STL crossing and T Tauri phenomena. Relationships among these areas of research are presented. Stellar structure and mass ejection for these stars were examined along with chromospheric analysis
Progress made in describing and interpreting coronal plasma processes and the relationship between t...
We have used contemporaneous spectra and V light curves to form spot models for RS CVn in 1991 and 1...
textThis dissertation describes a new detailed abundance study of field red horizontal branch star...
The activity in RS Canum Venaticorum (CVn) is investigated. Models for chromospheric structure are d...
I present a study of four eclipsing RS Canes Venaticorum (RS CVn) binary systems AR Lac, Z Her, V711...
A study of stellar chromospheres based on the internal structure of particular stars is presented. U...
Observational evidence and theoretical arguments are summarized which indicate that regions of parti...
The final report discusses work completed on proposals to construct state-of-the-art, theoretical, t...
The atmospheres of hot pre-main sequence stars are discussed along with FU Orionis winds, h alpha em...
The properties of the chromospheres, transition regions and coronas of cool evolved stars are review...
Context. Red supergiant stars (RSGs, Minit = 10 − 40 M⊙) are known to eject large amounts of materia...
In this dissertation, we develop new tools for the study of stellar atmospheres, pulsating stellar a...
A detailed model was developed for Kepler's supernova remnant (SNR). Observations of the SNR reveale...
When a star explodes as a supernova (SN), about 1051 ergs of energy are released in the interstella...
Studies on solar-type stellar chromospheres include diagnostic techniques, observations on different...
