The apparent conflict between log N-log S curve and isotropic celestial distribution of the gamma ray bursts is discussed. A possible selection effect due to the time profile of each burst is examined. It is shown that the contradiction is due to this selection effect of the gamma ray bursts

The anisotropy of the sky distribution of 2025 gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) collected in Current BATSE ca...
The cosmological expansion cannot produce the reported correlations of the gamma-ray burst timescale...
Some models for Gamma-Ray Burst spectra result in anisotropic emission. Here the effects of anisotro...
The effects of spectral variation on the detection of gamma ray bursts were investigated. Selection ...
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) visible up to very high redshift have become attractive targets as potential...
Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) come in two types, short and long. The distribution of logarithmic durations...
Brightness dependent correlations have been conclusively detected in the average time profiles of ga...
The results of a study (Carter et. al.) of gamma ray bursts using long duration balloon exposure are...
Based on the study of temporal asymmetry of 631 gamma ray bursts from the BATSE 3B catalog by Link a...
The time profiles of many gamma-ray bursts consist of distinct pulses, whichoffers the possibility o...
It is proposed that the luminosity function, the rest-frame spectral correlations, and distributions...
The isotropy of gamma-ray bursts collected in current BATSE catalog is studied. It is shown that the...
We exploit the 14 gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) with known redshifts z and the 7 GRBs for which there are ...
It is noted that the Liang-Zhang correlation can be accounted for with the viewing angle interpretat...
