TANAMAN YANG BERKHASIAT SEBAGAI PENYEMBUH LUKA DI WILAYAH ASIA (SEBUAH STUDI LITERATUR)

Background: The Asian continent is included in the continent with an abundant diversity of flora and fauna. Various types of plants can thrive in the Asian region, especially Southeast Asia which is dominated by tropical rain forests. There have been many types of plants used by ancient people as medicine to heal wounds. It is evident from the many studies that have been done and also proven empirically that this plant is indeed effective as a wound healer. Medicines made from natural ingredients are considered safer to use because they have few side effects and are also relatively more affordable. Objective: Knowing which plants are effective as wound healers in the Asian region, what compounds are contained in these plants, and how these compounds work in the wound healing process. Method: Using a descriptive qualitative research methodology, a literature study. This study uses a research instrument a NVivo application. Result and conclusion: Plants that can be used as wound healing in the Asian region consist of 21 plants, namely: Aloe vera, Centella asiatica, and Curcuma longa, Agrimonia eupatoria, Angelica dahurica, Anredera cordifolia, Boerhavia diffusa, Brucea antidysentrica, Calendulla officinalis, Cassia obtusifolia. , Clausena excavata, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Kalanchoe pinnata, Verbesina crocata, Morinda citrifolia, Morinda pubescens, Moringa oleifera, Panax ginseng, Prosopis cineraria, Rheum officinale, and Wedelia trilobata. The content of compounds that play a role in the wound healing process in plants is alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, asiatic acid, asiaticosid, accemanan, alloenin, moringinine, and ginsenoside rb 1.The mechanism of action of compounds in wound healing is by increasing the synthesis of collagen in the skin.
