This study gives a preliminary presentation of the pottery found during the excavation of the royal palace at Ugarit carried out by C. Schaeffer. It is based on the analysis of the archives of the mission (inventories and excavation notes) and on the examination of the objects kept in the collections of the National Museum of Damascus. The corpus consists mainly of vessels. An initial analysis enables presentation of a series of unpublished vessels, including several remarkable pieces of local and Mycenean fabrication. The latter increase the iconographic repertory known at present. The few figurines will be studied later.
