The purpose of this study is to place the weights discovered in the Royal Palace of Ugarit in their archaeological and epigraphic context. A classification of these weights based on the criteria of form, material, and mass, provides elements for their identification. Applying a metrological approach to these three characteristics has led to the conclusion that several weight systems were simultaneously in use in the palace. Groups of weights discovered in one and the same context are discussed in archaeological and epigraphic terms. In such a spatial approach, the question arises of the unicity or the plurality of weight systems represented by the weights of a given lot.
