This paper is focused on the episodes of deditio of the Greek populations to Rome in the period between the end of the Second Punic War and the conclusion of the Third Macedonian War. The analysis of the different cases tries to determine the characteristics of diplomatic missions appointed by the Greek cities. A reconstruction of the diplomatic process is also undertaken for unconditional surrenders.
