I grew up in Columbia,SC where I went to a public school that was filled with people of all races/ethnicities that gave me insight into how other people lived and the culture that they had within their community. Seeing the way that African American culture has impacted the world especially has always fascinated me. I wanted to create work that shows how dynamic and unique black culture is. It has shaped my identity and will forever be my artistic influence
