This Content Curiosity Project focuses on the effects that the COVID-19 pandemic had on the live music industry from March 2020 to December 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic drastically affected touring crews, sound technicians, venue workers, and more. Addressed is what has been done in favor of those who lost their jobs for an indefinite period of time and what live music looked like during this time. Reflecting on the sudden job losses, this project covers the billions of revenue lost from the live music industry due to the pandemic. Relief bills such as Save Our Stages and initiatives by MusiCares were created to support independent venues, touring musicians, and live crew members, which are also explored in this project.
