The dataset contains the main spectral profiles (MSPs) for MALDI Biotyper CA 3.2 System (Bruker Japan, Kanagawa, Japan) constitutes in-house database specific to bacteria from horses for identification with matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS). MALDI-TOF MS is used for identification of bacterial species isolated from horses. however, some bacterial species isolated from horses are difficult to identify with MALDI-TOF MS because of insufficiencies in the reference database, and enriching the databases is expected to enhance the accuracy of MALDI-TOF MS identification.
