This paper examines some of the determinants of childhood obesity. The prevalence of the disease has been on the rise for decades and has reached epidemic proportions. Childhood obesity is a major public health concern. It is important to become familiar with all factors that can lead to childhood obesity and the subpopulations most susceptible.
