The paper presents a way of analyzing the erosion phenomenon of riverbeds. Theoretical study and experimental research was carried out on a sector of the Moldova River in the area of Sochi, Iasi County. The study of the stability of the river bed was carried out by analyzing the value of the shear stress on the perimeter watered in characteristic cross sections. The river bank has been measured topographically in transverse and longitudinal profiles positioned on the river section (at the entrance, exit, and imposed sections). For analysis of bed stability was determined the wet perimeter distribution of the hydraulic parameters (v, h and n) in the imposed sections.
