Current paper on the topic “Grounded theory of professional identity development of university teachers” describes the master’s research of the professional identity development of the university teachers in Ukrainian and Lithuanian academic environment. The research problem was formulated based on the specific of teaching at the university, as university requires both pedagogy and scientific job.
