The amount of textile effluent increases with the wide application of dye in the textile industry. Textile effluent produced from the textile industries contained a variety of dyes. The dye compound is known to be toxic in nature and haziardous. This causes soil and water pollution to the environment. There are several ways of treating the textile effluent, either chemically or physically. However, the high cost of the treatment had led to the urge of alternative ways, which is biological treatment.
