The use of technology is important today for the teaching of English as a second language, but especially in the development of listening skills. That is why, the objective of this research is to demonstrate how closed caption, a modern audiovisual tool, favors the development of listening skills in eleventh grade students at the Benjamin Zeledòn Institute - Catarina.
