Management styles and their impact on the performance of work teams: An analysis in the company Nexia Montes & Asociados S.A.S. from the city of Manizales

The present research focuses on analyzing and establishing the relationship between management styles and performance improvement in work teams or not, it is carried out base don a case study develop at the company Nexia Montes & Asociados S.A.S. The approach is carried out throught two research instruments, both surveys, whis assess the perceptions at two different times of both employees and leaders, merging the results to analyze wheter or not there was a relationship between the variables. The research instruments presented high levels of reliability (management styles 0.914 and performance improvement 0.765) generating a high degree of confidence, which generated a peace of mind given that the result obtained was contrary to what was observed in other investigations, since all leaders they had the same managerial profile an all are satisfied with the results obtained by their work teams, allowing to infer that the organization has an integrality between the areas and a leader standard for any work area. As a final observation is stated that it’s important to carry out new research from the individual’s social psychology, to understand if it’s the new millennials that cuts the standars in companies.La presente investigación se enfoca en analizar y establecer la relación o no entre los estilos de dirección y el rendimiento en los equipos de trabajo, se realiza a partir de un estudio de caso desarrollado en la empresa Nexia Montes & Asociados S.A.S. El planteamiento se realiza por medio de dos instrumentos de investigación, ambas encuestas, que evalúan la percepción en dos tiempos distintos tanto de los empleados como de los líderes, fusionando los resultados para analizar si hubo o no relación entre las variables. Los instrumentos de investigación presentaron altos niveles de fiabilidad (estilos de dirección 0.914 y rendimiento laboral 0.765) generando un grado de confianza alto, lo que generó una tranquilidad, dado que el resultado obtenido fue contrario a lo observado en otras investigaciones, ya que todos los líderes tenían un mismo perfil gerencial y todos están conformes con los resultados obtenidos por sus equipos de trabajo, permitiendo inferir que la organización tiene una integralidad entre las áreas y un estándar de dirigente para cualquier área laboral. Como observación final, se expone que es importante realizar nuevas investigaciones desde la psicología social del individuo, para comprender si es la nueva generación del milenio la que corta los estándares en las organizaciones.Maestrí
