Music therapy and the use of technological aids in the evaluation and psycho-motor intervention in children with cerebral palsy.

In the research work: "music therapy and the use of technological aids in the evaluation and psycho-motor intervention in children with cerebral palsy", developed at the Santa Rita de Cascia institution, describes the music therapy process implemented in 4 participants with paralysis brain and associated conditions. Its objective is the evaluation of psycho-motor aspects of a music therapy process that will be implemented through technology. The IMTAPS music therapy evaluation system software was used, which will guide the specific categories to work and according to the collection of information about the possibilities of movement, a musical technological interface based on arduino technology was designed that facilitated the musical interaction active participants in music therapy sessions. Additionally, measurements of brain electrical activity were taken by means of the Emotiv-EPOC technological tool at rest and in two music therapy activities that provide topographic images of neuro activity that are related to the outcome in motor development of the participants. It is implemented from the TIMP technique, specific to neurological music therapy, which aims to provide motor control to be extrapolated to everyday life. The research has a phenomenological design, describing the phenomenon of music therapy intervention through the use of technology in patients with cerebral palsy.En el trabajo de investigación: “la musicoterapia y el empleo de ayudas tecnológicas en la evaluación e intervención psico-motora en niños con parálisis cerebral”, desarrollado en la institución Santa Rita de Cascia, se describe el proceso musicoterapéutico implementado en 4 participantes con parálisis cerebral y condiciones asociadas. Tiene como objetivo la evaluación de aspectos psico-motores de un proceso musicoterapéutico que será implementado por medio de la tecnología. Se hizo uso del software del sistema de evaluación en musicoterapia IMTAPS, que orientará las categorías especificas a trabajar y de acuerdo a la recolección de información acerca de las posibilidades de movimiento, se diseñó una interfaz tecnológica musical basada en tecnología arduino que facilito la interacción musical activa de los participantes en las sesiones musicoterapéuticas. Adicionalmente se tomaron mediciones de actividad eléctrica cerebral por medio de la herramienta tecnológica Emotiv-EPOC en reposo y en dos actividades musicoterapéuticas que aportan imágenes topográficas de neuro actividad que son relacionadas al resultado en desarrollo motor de los participantes. Es implementada desde la técnica TIMP, específica de musicoterapia neurológica, que pretende aportar en el control motor para ser extrapolado a la vida cotidiana.
