The present work is a study of the manifestations of laughter in books of chivalry. To do this, first, the author reviews the existing scholarship and poses some disadvantages in it. Second, he proposes a study method that he later uses to study the laughter motifs in some books of chivalry, such as Amadís de Gaula, exemplary of the genre, and in the books written by Feliciano de Silva, whose proposal on the subject is worthwhile to acknowledge.El presente trabajo es un estudio de las manifestaciones de la risa en los libros de caballerías.
