Resumen: se determinó mediante un método de referencia in vitro la actividad antifúngica del extracto crudo de biomasa celular de Azadirachta indica A. Juss., sobre cinco especies de hongos dermatofitos, así como la de extractos de hojas y semillas de esta misma especie. El extracto de biomasa celular fue fraccionado y analizado por HPLC con el fin de comparar en sus perfiles cromatográfico la presencia de triterpenoides con posible actividad antifúngica. Los resultados mostraron un efecto inhibitorio en el crecimiento de los dermatofitos en el siguiente orden: extracto de hojas (CMI: 100μg/mL), semillas (CMI: 625μg/mL) y biomasa celular (CMI: 2500μg/mL).
