A new naphthoquinone from Sinningia leucotricha (Gesneriaceae)

A new naphthoquinone, 7,8-dimethoxydunnione (1), was isolated from Sinningia leucotricha (Hoehne) Moore tubers, together with four known compounds: 7-hydroxy-α-dunnione (2), 6-methoxy-7-hydroxy-α-dunnione (3), presilphiperfolan-9-ol (4), and betulinic acid (5). All compounds were identified by spectroscopic and mass spectrometric techniques and comparison with literature data.
