Platelet function (or reactivity) varies from one individual to another, a phenotype that is largely inherited and may be related to the recurrence of thrombotic events or the occurrence of bleeding events. Platelets are an abundant source of micro-ribonucleic acids (miRNAs) considered to be potential regulators of platelet function by a mechanism that remains unclear. The aim of this project is to functionally validate candidate miRNAs as regulators of platelet function and to study the underlying mechanisms with a translational approach.
