İstanbul ili Sultangazi ilçesinde yer alan 2 ortaokul ve 3 lisede gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada adolesan bireylerin diyet kalitesinin Sağlıklı Yeme İndeksine göre (Health Eating Index-2010 / HEI-2010) değerlendirmek maçlanmıştır. Anket aracılığıyla bireylerin genel özellikleri, sağlık bilgileri, beslenme alışkanlıkları ve fiziksel aktivite durumları belirlenmiş, 24 saatlik geriye dönük besin tüketim kayıt yöntemi ile besin tüketim kayıtları alınmıştır. Toplam Sağlıklı Yeme İndeksi (SYİ) puanını saptamak için besin tüketim kayıtlarından SYİ'yi oluşturan 12 komponentin her biri kendi standardına göre hesaplanmıştır.
