In the present investigation, 15 cultivars from north-eastern region of India along with two check (high protein containing ‘ARC-10075’ and low protein containing ‘Basmati 370’) were grown during wet season 2009 at experimental farm of CRRI at Cuttack. Highest crude protein (CP) was detected in Mykachak (11.09 per cent) and Full Badam (11.06 per cent), while lowest found in Basmati 370 (6.87 per cent). CP content was found negatively associated with seed yield as well as most of the important yield attributing traits like, number of seeds panicle-1.
