Yersinia enterocolitica has been suceessfully isolated from a range of water samples after low temperature enrichment and isolation under anaerobic conditions. The biochemical reactions of all strains are given together with their sero-groups and lysogenic types. Methods for isolatio, biochemical reactions, distribution and pathogenicity of the taxes are summarized in an appendix.Yersinia enterocolitica has been suceessfully isolated from a range of water samples after low temperature enrichment and isolation under anaerobic conditions.
