This conclusive chapter synthesises the contributions of this volume according to three axes. First, we summarise the characteristics of electronic music scenes in the cities presented and their relation to mainstream and underground communities and in relation to other music genres. Then we list the diverse policies and modes of governance of electronic music scenes (from top-down public policies to more organic modes of governance by event organisers or space owners). Finally, we discuss the spatial dynamics of electronic music scenes in relation to real estate pressure, public strategies and communities’ tactics
