A person’s disposable income is often related to their ability to readily access healthcare and health-related resources. The relationship between income and mortality has historically been well established but not easily understood. This study attempts to bridge the gaps in understanding between wealth and mortality by revealing the relationship between income and life expectancy using cross-country data. This study also explores the relationships between life expectancy and other socioeconomic factors, such as the Gini coefficient, secondary education, healthcare expenditure, and healthcare access.
