Background: In patients with chronic stable coronary artery disease (CAD), well‑developed coronary collateral circulation (CCC) is known to reduce long‑term mortality. Aims: The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of serum calprotectin (S100A8 / S100A9), angiopoietin‑1 (Ang‑1) and angiopoietin‑2 (Ang‑2) concentrations with CCC in patients with stable CAD. Methods: This prospective cross‑sectional study included 147 patients with stable angina pectoris. The Cohen–Rentrop classification was used to assess CCC.
