A novel all-solid-state (ASS) Z-scheme BiVO4/CQDs/FeVO4 photocatalyst with highly enhanced photocatalytic performance was successfully fabricated via a simple hydrothermal technique. The photocatalytic activity of the as-prepared sample was evaluated by the degradation of methylene blue under visible-light irradiation. The ASS Z-scheme BiVO4/CQDs/FeVO4 photocatalyst decomposed 98% methylene blue after 120 min irradiation, which was greater than that of pristine BiVO4 and FeVO4. With unique structural configuration, ASS Z-scheme BiVO4/CQDs/FeVO4 heterojunction could enhance charge separation efficacy, improve redox ability, and prolong the lifetime of photo-excitons, resulting in remarkably improved durability and photocatalytic performance
