An Analysis Of English Borrowing Words InIndonesia Broadcast Field OfCinemags Magazine

The aim of this study is to know the English borrowed word into Indonesianlanguage in broadcast field, the important purpose in this study is to know thechange of meaning that is happening in the borrowing word from English intoIndonesian Language in Cinemags Magazine.The writer uses descriptive qualitative method, where she describes one byone the borrowed word from English, and analyzes those words in Indonesianbroadcast field which are experienced the change of meaning, such as inExtension, Narrowing, and in the same of meaning. To support the analysis thewriter uses some dictionaries and the other related references.The writer uses some theories that are the definition of morphology,borrowing, and semantic change. To find the words which are borrowed fromEnglish, the writer uses Cinemags magazine as the unit of analysis. The writer hasbeen already found twenty words from that magazine and analyzed them one byone.As the conclusion, the writer found the thirty words of borrowed words thathas new meaning, from English in Indonesian broadcast field that are presented inthis change of meaning are 24 percents for extension of meaning, 28 percentsnarrowing of meaning, and no meaning change are 48 percents.
