Many systems are continually evolving in nature. In contrast to phenomena at, or close to, equilibrium, the behavior of out of equilibrium systems is much less understood. The geometrical characterization of the structures, e.g., domains and hulls, common for certain classes of non-equilibrium dynamics and their time evolution are important in determining the macroscopic properties of many systems.
