This paper discusses the integration of dance/movement therapy and internal family systems. I proposed the integration of these two frameworks as a way to foster individuals’ ability to develop a more solidified sense of self, purpose, and agency in their lives by using the information from the body to identify parts that may be hindering their full wellness. I implemented a three-part structure that included an internal family systems meditation, artistic processing, and movement at a day treatment program for four weeks with a group of five Caucasian women between the ages of 53 and 67.
