PERBANDINGAN TEKNIK MASASE DAN TERAPI MUSIK TERHADAP PENURUNAN KECEMASAN PADA IBU BERSALIN PRIMIPARA DI KECAMATAN BREBES TAHUN 2013

Labor is a natural process that accurs in every conception, often in pregnancy mothers with primipara tend to experience feelings of fear, worry, or anxiety. Efforts to reduce anxiety especially in mothers with primipara is one of the solutions that are beneficial to the mother and fetus. There are several ways to control pain and reduce anxiety among other the massage techniques and music therapy because pain they and reduce anxiety. To determine the comparative decline of anxiety in mothers primipara through techniques of massage and music therapy. This type of research is a quasi-experiments that are two group pretest-posttest design comparrison. The study was conducted at 32 maternal first stage of active phase who are divided into two groups, 16 people were treated with massage technique and 16 people were treted music therapy. Analysis of the data used is the Mann whitney U test. From the results of this study concluded that there are differences in maternal anxiety primipara before and after massage technique with p-value <a (0.000> 0.05), there is no difference in anxiety before and after music therapy with p-value <a (0.000 <0:05), so the conclusion interchangeable massage technique is more effective in reducing anxiety levels compared with the value of music therapy with mann whitney u (25,000> 14,500) that means bigger than the massage techniques of music therapy. Massage technique is more effective in reducing anxiety in mothers with primipara compared with music therapy. Midewife can use the techniques of massage and music therapy in helping labor so as to reduce maternal anxiety. Keywords : Labor,anxiety, massage techniques, music therapy
