Analyzing the Aspect of Emotional Intelligence in Higher Education

There is a relationship between emotional intelligence and the aspect of learning outcomes in higher education. Students engage in emotional intelligence while learning to understand how academic engagement can exhibit scholars in their learning process. Such as attending class, being prepared, completing assignments, and engaging in effort and attentiveness. Emotional intelligence is the combination of being compelled to an individual’s internal and external mentality, able to retain self-control, and expressing emotion in a positive way. These factors have an influence on the relationship of emotional intelligence and the learning outcomes in higher education. With the knowledge of scholarly peer reviewed articles, research, and studies to help support the idea of emotional intelligence in the aspect of leaning outcomes in higher education. Accompanied with the information and research accumulated, students will have a better understanding about the diverse range of emotions that they have while being able to learn, grow, and excel in higher education. This includes learning the interest of anxiety, anger, enjoyment, boredom, all of which acquire effects on scholar engagement as well as learning outcomes. Emotional intelligent students can become more successful when understanding themselves.
