La implementación en el aula del Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos: una metodología para el estudio de la Dictadura Franquista en 4º ESO

The debate about our recent History is gaining strength in Spanish society. Falaize (2010, p.189) refers to these issues by taking up the term “socially alive issue” (Legardez, 2006, p.22), a concept that the author defines as a “controversial school question, insofar is found that it is a debate that already exists in society” (Falaize, 2010, p.189). We try to define a possible way to address socially sensitive issues because they are normally politicized questions or because teachers usually stick to the curriculum and tend to focus more on historical knowledge as a knowledge oriented to the political processes and their protagonists. On our behalf, we claim the need of showing students, future proactive members of society, how History is linked to life in a reasoned way to learn from the mistakes of the past. With all this issues in mind, in this Final Master’s Project, the project Investigating the Francoism is presented to implement it in the subject of Geography and History in 4th of ESO, in the field of the Valencian Community. The proposed work unit is based on Project-Based Learning and the use of ICTs, a methodology that is in full development as it meets the need to satisfy and adapts to the demands of changes in our environment; changes that affect all areas of society, with education being one of the most important ones. The ultimate goal is to awaken in students curiosity about the past and to be interest them in the history of recent times. The phases of development have been built on the PBL methodology that encourages active and meaningful learning. To that end, the students will put into practice scientific research techniques of Social Sciences.El debate sobre nuestra Historia reciente está tomando fuerza en la sociedad española. Falaize (2010, p.189) se refiere a estos temas retomando el término de “cuestión socialmente viva” (Legardez, 2006, p.22), concepto que el autor define como una “cuestión escolar controvertida, en la medida en la que se encuentra con un debate que ya existe en la sociedad” (Falaize, 2010, p.189). Tratamos de definir una posible vía para abordar temas socialmente sensibles por ser cuestiones normalmente politizadas o porque el profesorado suele ceñirse al currículo y centrarse más en el conocimiento histórico como un saber orientado a los procesos políticos y sus protagonistas. Por nuestra parte, reivindicamos la necesidad de mostrar a los alumnos, futuros miembros proactivos de la sociedad, cómo la Historia está vinculada a la vida de forma razonada para aprender de los errores del pasado. Con todas estas cuestiones en mente, en el presente Trabajo Final de Máster se presenta el proyecto Investigando el franquismo para implementarlo en la asignatura de Geografía e Historia de 4º de ESO, en el ámbito de la Comunidad Valenciana. La unidad de trabajo que se propone se basa en el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos y el uso de las TICs, una metodología que se encuentra en pleno desarrollo ya que atiende a la necesidad de satisfacer y adaptarse a las exigencias de los cambios en nuestro entorno; cambios que afectan a todos los ámbitos de la sociedad, siendo la educación uno de los más importantes. El objetivo último es despertar en el alumnado la curiosidad por el pasado y que se interesen por la historia del tiempo reciente. Las fases de desarrollo se han construido a partir de la metodología ABP que fomenta el aprendizaje activo y significativo. Para ello, los estudiantes pondrán en práctica técnicas de investigación científica propias de las Ciencias Sociales
