This report describes laboratory tests to determine the properties of River Tees mud, conducted as a part of a study on the dispersal of dredged material. The tests comprised particle size measurement, organic matter and cation exchange capacity measurement, determination of mineralogical properties, self-weight consolidation tests, erosion of uni-directional currents and erosion under waves. The results are to be used in numerical models being developed to predict the movement of dredged material
