This bachelor thesis focuses on the problem of anonymity and privacy on the internet. The objective is to firstly state who collects our private data and secondly analyse how various methods of data collecting work. The last part is focused on recommending the best practises, following which one can achieve at least some level of privacy and anonymity on the internet. This thesis also contains a survey, which aims to find out the level of knowledge on this topic among respondents. The main benefit of this thesis is understanding to what measures is personal data being collected and explaining the methods by which this is done.
