Reasons for the acceptance of cryptocurrencies by enterprises in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis examines the reasons for the acceptance of cryptocurrencies by enterprises in the Czech Republic. At the beginning The Diffusion of Innovation Theory is explained. This theory is used to predict possible future rate of adoption. Using the model example of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, it presents the history, the principle of addresses, mining, Blockchain technology and describes the characteristic of payments using Bitcoin. It briefly describes current payment methods to make a clear comparison to cryptocurrency transactions. To clarify the slightly different situation in the Czech Republic, it describes unique projects that come from the Czech Republic and may have an impact on the perception of cryptocurrencies in society. Furthermore, the state of acceptance in the world and more specifically in the Czech Republic is briefly commented. Afterwards, the possibilities how to accept cryptocurrencies from the customer are presented. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to a summary of possible reasons for the acceptance of cryptocurrencies. In the practical part, the theory of innovation diffusion is applied from my personal point of view. Then the methodology and design of qualitative research is described. At the end of the thesis, the research results are presented.Tato diplomová práce zkoumá důvody akceptace kryptoměn podniky v ČR. Na začátku je vysvětlena teorie difúze inovací, která je využita k predikci budoucí míry adopce. Na modelovém příkladu kryptoměny Bitcoin představuje historii vzniku, princip adres, těžby, technologii Blockchain a popisuje vlastnosti plateb pomocí Bitcoinu. Stručně popisuje současné metody platby, aby bylo zřejmé porovnání vůči transakcím v kryptoměnách. Pro objasnění mírně odlišné situace v ČR popisuje unikátní projekty, které z ČR pochází a možná mají vliv na vnímání obecně kryptoměn ve společnosti. Dále je stručně okomentován stav akceptace ve světe i konkrétněji v ČR. Poté jsou představeny možnosti, jak přijmout kryptoměny od zákazníka. Závěr teoretické části je věnován shrnutí možných důvodů pro akceptaci kryptoměn. V praktické části je aplikována teorie difúze inovací z mého osobního pohledu. Poté je popsána metodika a návrh kvalitativního výzkumu. Na konci práce jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumu
