Tato diplomová práce se zabývá situací v Bělorusku po období od roku 1994 do současnosti, kdy je jejím prezidentem Alexandr Lukašenko. Popisuje jeho cestu ke zvolení, jednotlivá volební období, jaké to přineslo v zemi změny a jak je vnímali samotní obyvatelé Běloruska, tak v ostatních zemích. Práce si všímá změn v hospodářství, ekonomice a zahraničních vztazích, popisuje protesty opozice a reakce na jednotlivé volby. Přináší také analýzu Lukašenkova režimu a informace o současném dění v zemi, o informační autokracii a dalších omezeních. Na závěr srovnává protesty, které v zemi proběhly, se situací na Ukrajině.The diploma thesis deals with the situation in Belarus after the period from 1994 to the present, when its president is Alexander Lukashenko.
