This bachelor thesis analyzes state-sponsored doping in Russia. Concretely the reactions to it of two key organizations fighting for the "cleanliness" of sport, the World Anti-Doping Agency and the International Olympic Committee. In five chapters this thesis focuses on the historical background of the use of doping in sport and in relation to that the development of the anti-doping policy for the fight against it. Then it describes the prohibited substances and methods commonly used in sport and the revelation of the Russian doping scandal.
