The importance of cavitation inside multi-hole injectors has been addressed in many previous investigations where the cavitation formation and its development, fuel spray characteristics and atomisation have quantified. Different types of geometrical and vortex cavitations have been previously reported inside the nozzles of multi-hole injectors with good indication of their influences on the emerging spray.
