Background: Aromatase inhibitors are widely used in the treatment of oestrogen receptor-positive post-menopausal breast cancer. These patients may also be receiving the bisphosphonate, zoledronic acid (ZA) to prevent bone loss or reduce skeletal morbidity in the setting of advanced disease.
