We provide a rigorous dynamic test of the dual-hormone hypothesis whereby the effect of leadership emergence on men’s emotion recognition and personal distress abilities are influenced by their implicit personalized power motive and their testosterone and cortisol level change. We also discuss implications for managerial praxis and future research
