Analysis of the causes of hospitalization of patients with COPD

The article presents a research of the causes of hospitalization of patients with a clinical diagnosis – Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD). The research was based on the City Clinical Hospital №14. The statistical processing of primary medical records for 2018 was carried out. Clinical and demographic data, social status and risk factors in the anamnesis of patients were researched. According to the research, the main factors that led to hospitalization were identified. Older men and women of the elderly age group are hospitalized more often;one of the factors contributing to hospitalization is the high comorbidity of patients with COPD with diseases of the cardiovascular system: hypertonic disease, chronic corpulmonale, congestive heart failure. It was found that there are more patients with COPD of stage II and III and not as much as it was thought with sage IV, who hospitalize more often with this disease. However, it was found that there is inverse dependence of COPD stage on adherence to basic therapy in the studied sample.В статье изложено исследование причин госпитализаций пациентов с клиническим диагнозом «Хроническая обструктивная болезнь легких» (ХОБЛ) в Городскую клиническую больницу №14, основанное на статистической обработке данных первичной медицинской документации за 2018 год. Были исследованы клинико-демографические данные, социальный статус и факторы риска в анамнезе пациентов. По результатам исследования выявлены основные факторы, приведшие к госпитализации. Наиболее часто госпитализируются мужчины пожилого возраста и женщины старческой возрастной группы; одним из факторов, способствующем госпитализации является высокая коморбидность пациентов ХОБЛ с заболеваниями сердечно-сосудистой системы: гипертоническая болезнь, хроническое легочное сердце, хроническая сердечная недостаточность. Выявлено, что среди госпитализированных, вопреки ожидаемому, больше пациентов не с тяжелой ХОБЛ, а со средней тяжестью заболевания, однако выявлена обратная зависимость стадии ХОБЛ от приверженности к базисной терапии в исследованной выборке
