The introduction of emerging transportation technologies, such as mobility-on-demand and shared modes, have caused disruptions in urban transportation systems. These services brought multiple challenges, including the lack of infrastructure, arbitrary pricing schemes, deficient operating rules and regulations, and safety concerns.
