This paper begins by discussing the meaning of precarious work and vulnerable workers in order to place the issue of domestic work within this wider context and its literature. Domestic work can be classified as precarious work because of the nature of the contractual relationships in such employment and domestic workers can meet the definition of vulnerable workers in that there is a high likelihood that they do not have the same levels of employment protection afforded to other workers by law and practice. We then consider issues related to migrant workers and consider domestic work as precarious work and domestic workers as vulnerable worker
