Abstract Cystic fibrosis (CF), is an inherited genetic disease that leads to damage of the respiratory system. This disease not only impacts the lungs, but most organ systems of the body. Normal fluids in the body become thick, clogging important pathways in the body such as in the lungs and the pancreas. PURPOSE: To examine the effect of cardiorespiratory exercise training on lung function. The purpose of this study was to examine how introducing an aerobic-based exercise training program impacts patients with CF.
