Employee Rights and Responsibilities

Employment Rights and Responsibilities is part of most Apprenticeship Frameworks. This module will help apprentices to learn more about the basics of data protection, health & safety, equality, income tax, National insurance, sick pay and holiday entitlements.It was developed based on the needs identified by apprentices as the topics they were most likely to be concerned about in their first few days at work. \ud \ud The module includes online activities and an offline practical task. The task involved them creating a checklist of information about how things are done at their new place of work. Each apprentice will produce a document that can be used to evidence of work on the employee rights and responsibilities component of the apprenticeship framework. In business administration frameworks this component is not formally assessed but it is required to be studied. \ud \ud This module includes animations, learning activities, a self-marking online quiz with feedback on every question, downloadable memory aids and transcripts of the animation voiceovers. It also recommends a discussion prompt for tutors wishing to set up an online discussion forum to support the use of this module.
