Providing Effective Feedback

The learning objectives for this lesson include, firstly, a comparison of the mechanisms for recording achievement and progress of students, identifying best practice and explaining how it could be used in your own area of teaching. Secondly, we will explain the importance of feedback to the student in order to help the student improve. Thirdly, we will compare and contrast different examples of feedback and make judgements about their value or otherwise. Finally, we will describe appropriate skills and approaches to negotiate targets and strategies for improvement and success for students
