Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards (LEGS) Climate Change Briefing Paper

The aim of this paper is to outline for the Steering Group of LEGS (Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards) the major issues at the intersection of climate change, small‐scale livestock production and disaster risk reduction (DRR) in order to inform the forthcoming revision of the LEGS Handbook. In accordance with the Terms of Reference provided by Vetwork UK, this paper is divided into: a) a summary of current knowledge, thinking and debates on climate change, disasters and drought, and; b) detailed recommendations for possible amendments to LEGS [not included in this version
