A workshop was held on May 5th and 6th at the Holiday Inn, London (Victoria) on the subject of Poverty Coping Strategies in Malawi. It was organised and facilitated by a three man team from the Social Sciences Department of the Natural Resources Institute (NRI), University of Greenwich, and followed-on from an earlier workshop held in Malawi in March. Both workshops were funded by the UK Government's Department for International Development (DFID), and are part of a consultancy entitled "Malawi: Poverty Coping Strategies Study" which is currently being undertaken by the NRI.
