A decorative textile and animal skin object, possible a sash or belt, was found in an Early Bronze Age cist on Whitehorse Hill, Dartmoor. A textile and animal-skin object lay beneath the animal pelt. The irregularly-shaped remains measured 345 × 260mm but, as no edges could be observed, the object is assumed to be incomplete and the original dimensions are unknown. In burial, the remains had been flattened onto a layer of matted plant material lining the base of the cist. Impressed on the upper face were further traces of plant material and hairs from the animal pelt
